The World Boccia Team will be conducting an International Referees Course which is taking place in conjunction with the Hong Kong 2023 World Boccia Asia-Oceania Regional Championships. This will be the last opportunity to train to become an International Referee in 2023.
The course takes place from Sunday 3rd December to Friday 8th December 2023.
To be eligible to participate in the course, candidates must:
- Have been a National Referee for a minimum of 2 years
- Refereed a minimum of 45 matches as a referee
- Have good knowledge of both written and spoken English

Applications need to be sent to admin@worldboccia.com by 3rd October. Please do not book flights until your place on the course has been confirmed. You may start the visa application process if applicable.
Requirements for the candidates
- The course is open to all National Level Referees. The candidates must meet the following criteria:
- To have been a National Referee for a minimum of 2 years.
- To have a minimum of 45 matches as a referee
- Have been active as a National Referee in the last two years before the date of the International Referee Course.
- Good knowledge of both written and spoken English.
- Being able to make a measurement.
- Being able to stop a ball.
- Being able to do the Referees Gestures/signs.
